Brian Baloyi Disappointed in Kaizer Chiefs and Itumeleng Khune

Itumeleng Khune and Kaizer Chiefs appear to have parted ways, but not in the most formal manner. Reports suggest that the club has effectively forced Khune into retirement, despite his desire to continue playing for several more years. Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi expressed his disappointment about how the situation was handled.

Speaking on #PrimeSportsWithMahlatse, Baloyi said, “Disappointed, saddened, heartbroken,” referring to how both the club and Khune’s team had dealt with the situation. He explained that the retirement could have been managed better on both sides. Baloyi added that if Khune had prioritized his career more, he could have accumulated a significant number of appearances and cemented his legacy in South African football.

Baloyi further reflected on how the whole situation could have been avoided with better management from both the club and Khune’s team. “Everyone could’ve dealt with this much better,” he concluded.
