MK Party Announces Key Leadership Changes

Jacob Zuma, leader of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, has appointed Dr Thanti Mthanti as the new treasurer-general, replacing Menzi Magubane, who took over from Danisa Zulu in June. The leadership change was announced by the party’s head of presidency, Magasela Mzobe, who praised Mthanti for his dedicated service within the party, including his role in the national high command and as chairperson of the communications sub-committee. Mzobe stated that Mthanti would now take on the roles and responsibilities of treasurer-general as outlined in the MK Party’s constitution.

In another key change, Nhlamulo Ndhlela has been appointed as the official national spokesperson, strengthening the party’s communications strategy. Ndhlela will also join the party’s top leadership, including the top eight and national high command, with Mzobe expressing confidence in his abilities.
