Kaizer Chiefs target scores two goals in two matches
Kaizer Chiefs players impress Nasreddine Nabi
Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi made bold tactical changes ahead of their 2-1 victory over Richards Bay in Polokwane on Tuesday.
Ashley du Preez, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Pule Mmodi were included in the starting XI, replacing Ranga Chivaviro, Njabulo Blom, and Gaston Sirino.
Nabi praised the impact of his selected players after the game:
“Very happy with the players that started today, especially Ashley – he leaves here with more confidence going forward,” Nabi told SABC Sport.
He also highlighted the standout performances of Mthethwa, nicknamed “Ox,” and Pule Mmodi.
“Ox, unbelievable performance, Mmodi – he did his job very well, and we believe that they can do better,” Nabi added.
Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to maintain their momentum and possibly bolster their squad with Salum’s talent in the future.
Kaizer Chiefs keeping tabs on Feisal Salum at Azam FC
Kaizer Chiefs have expressed strong interest in Feisal Salum, the 26-year-old midfield maestro currently playing for Azam FC in Tanzania. Salum’s recent performances should provide more motivation for Amakhosi to secure his services.
Feisal Salum shines for Azam FC
Salum, who previously worked under Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi and assistant Cedric Kaze at Young Africans, has grown into one of Africa’s top midfielders.
In the past week, Salum’s talent was on full display as he scored and earned the Man of the Match award in Azam FC’s 1-0 victory over Kagera Sugar in the Tanzania Premier League. He followed this up with another goal in a 2-1 win against Singida on Thursday.
Salum’s consistency and ability to deliver in key moments make him an exciting prospect for Chiefs.
